Alain-Amin Raad is the Head of Islamic Finance at Merrill Lynch. Previously he was the Deputy Head of the Islamic Banking Unit and Deputy Head of Financial Institution Group covering the Middle East at BNP Paribas. His primary responsibilities included structuring sukuks, equity derivative products, credit derivatives and other financial products. In addition, Alain was also responsible for developing equity and fixed income structured products as well as, IR and FX derivatives and asset management funds. He also possesses significant experience of major project finance and corporate finance transactions. Alain has an MBA with concentration in finance from the ESCP-EAP (European School of Management) as well as a Master's in International Business Law (LLM).
